What is SKAL?
SKAL which has been founded in 1932 in Paris is a support  club for the top-level managers of tourism, hosting and transport agencies. SKAL has more than 514 clubs and 25.000 members all over the world and aims to unite the professionals in tourism branches thus, develop the sector and the relation between the managers consequently  contribute the territorial & international peace.

Turkish Skal club has been founded in 1956 and has 208 members in Istanbul while nearly 600 all around the country.

WHAT IS SKALITE?
Since today Skal has been pointing to the important problems of tourism in meetings and symposiums and  has decided to work intensely on quality the coming season.
Our tourism which is fastly developing and participating in remarkable amounts to the Turkey's economy paralelly aims to question quality and bring the quality fact into the sector.
AS A START IT HAS DECIDED FOR THE FIRST TIME TO DELIVER SKALITE PRIZES ON THE ACCOUNT OF OUR REPUBLIC'S 75TH ANNIVERSARY ACTIVITIES.

Henceforth these prizes will become traditional and will be delivered annualy to the persons and institutes chosen by the members committee of the Istanbul Skal Club.

WHO WILL GET THE FIRST AND 75TH ANNIVERSARY PRICES?
For the first year's prizes the candidates have been chosen by the board of management of SKAL CLUB among the institutes and persons who have been the first in their sectors and who are still leading and keeping the same quality line.
Persons and institutes who are still active and keeping the same quality line in the below listed sectors will get the 1st SKALITE PRIZES .
Tourism Agencies, Hosting, Transporting, Restaurants, Entertainment, Travel Vehicles, Animation and Bureaucracy.
